PLAGIARISM

Be Original & Don't Plagiarize!

Since the rise of the internet plagiarism has become a great concern for many schools and colleges. To put it into simple terms plagiarism basically means to use the work that another individual has compiled and claim it as your own.
This includes purchasing work online, copying and pasting and also this can also be a result of student error when it comes to referencing.
Students can often feel pressurized by deadlines and the temptation to copy and paste or use work found online can be overwhelming. This includes the use of quote's, summarizing or paraphrasing which all need to be properly referenced.
It can also be the result of bad time management when an assignment is left to the last minute or the amount of time necessary to complete an assignment is not enough.
Students can often under estimate the seriousness of plagiarism which can result in being expelled from your school or college so as teachers it is very important to make sure they understand how to deliver information from different sources and give credit when needed.
