Critical Thinking
"Critical thinking is thinking about your thinking while you are thinking in order to make your thinking better."
Richard.W Paul
Critical thinking improves:
- Decision making and Problem solving
- Attention and Observation
- Understanding of own thought process
- Ability to transfer learned content skills to new application
- Getting your own opinion across easily
- Civic and Personal choices
Critical thinking is lacked among most of us nowadays. All people now depend on google as their mind thinker. This will lead to decrease the ability of attention and concentration. However, the role of schools and teachers should be concentrated on how to improve the critical thinking among students.

ReplyDeleteStudents can think critically in all the subjects. Unfortunately, in our schools many teachers don't stimulate critical thinking. Sometimes, teachers make students memorize answers that include their opinion about a certain topic and oblige them to write the same answer in the exam which kills the students' critical thinking. We should always give our students the opportunities to have critical thinking in all the subjects in order to promote self directed learning and benefit from what you have mentioned in the post.
ReplyDeleteEvery teacher is looking for interesting ways to integrate Critical Thinking into classrooms. Students can think critically if they have the information they need.
